We get these questions a lot. We thought we should answer a few of them here.
Xempla connects to legacy BMS systems in either of the following ways:
- Deploying a secure connector software that reads the data from BMS historian database and transfers data securely to the Xempla’s servers.
- Deploying 3rd party IoT gateways/edge devices that connect data via open communication protocols to securely transfer data to Xempla’s servers.
Data is secured in-rest as well as in-transit using standard TLS encryption. Connectors are deployed to transfer data to the Xempla cloud over the private whitelisted network.
Besides Building Management Systems, Xempla can connect to sensor data or integrate with 3rd party software like Work Order Management Systems, CAFM and / or CMMS.
Xempla integrates with CMMS via open APIs. Two way integration allows Xempla to generate Work Orders on the CMMS and to also read / modify the PPM schedule as and when needed.
Usually, command and control centres rely on key skilled engineers, which is not scalable beyond a certain point. Xempla as a Decision Support System helps you put command centres in auto mode, enabling a bottoms up approach vs a top down approach. It helps you build institutional knowledge, all this while delivering cost savings across Operations and Maintenance.
